So I’ve decided to sell my PS3 slim, selling it tomorrow. Then I want to get the Super slim. I have backed up my Trophies to server. Then I backed up data to an external HDD. All completed successfully. So I’m expecting to restore this backup later.. on a new PS3 super slim, which I don’t have yet. I shouldn’t see anything being in the way right?
you can use a program called swissknife (free-just google) from a pc to partition a usb sata hard drive to fat32 or ntfs. I have both my pc (ntfs) and ps3 (fat32) data stored on one 250gb sata usb hard drive. You will also need to create folders in the fat32 called ps3, export and backup so the ps3 can properly store your back up data.

The headset contains a rechargeable Li-ion polymer battery. Prior to using the headset for the first time, It is essential to fully charge the battery before first use for a least 3 hours (or until the green LED goes out). If you do not use the headset regularly it is important to recharge the battery every 3 months. Connect the USB cable to your PS3™ [01] and the mini usb [02] to the headset's charging socket [03]. The LED will illuminate green during the charging process and will be off when fully charged.

A/ You may need to perform a PS3™ "System Update". Voice and sound tests for audio accessories such as the EX-01 have been provided by Sony® from System Update Version v2.30. We highly recommend that unless you have a direct internet connection to the Sony® Network from your PS3™, that you do not attempt to manually perform a manual System Update using a USB device or SD Memory Card.
7. First lets backup our Trophies . On your PS3, first go to Game > Trophy Collection . Once you have Trophy Collection highlighted in your XMB, hit the Triangle button to bring up the menu and choose the “ Sync with Server “. This will backup your trophies to the PSN server. Do this for each user you may have on your PS3.

If the chatter from your online rivals gets distracting and starts to hinder your gameplay experience, just turn a dial on the headset's in-line audio controller to quickly tune them out. Game volume can also be adjusted on-the-fly so you can drown out your foe's voice but still hear stealthy in-game footsteps creeping up behind you.

A/ It's quite easy to push the On/Off button when you are trying to change volume up and down. When you do this it puts the EX-01 into "mute". To release the headset from mute and stop that annoying noise, just press the On/Off button once lightly and normal service will resume! Once you become more familiar with the EX-01 you'll get the hang of where your paws have to go to change volume!

Rather than rely on stereo drivers and emulated surround sound, the Pro+ houses four speakers in each earcup (Front, Center, Surround, Subwoofer), creating an adjustable, three-dimensional, true 5.1 audio experience with highly detailed channel separation. Just like 5.1-channel home theater setups, true discreet audio feeds each speaker individually. Frequency response is always optimal - - the subwoofer only has to produce lower frequencies, while the front, center, and surround speakers output mid to high frequencies.

A/ You should be able to talk into the microphone and see the microphone level meter at the top of the Audio Device Settings menu move up and down. If it doesn't, then exit the Audio Device Settings by pressing OK at the bottom of the screen then re-enter the menu by selecting Audio Device Settings once more. Try speaking into the microphone again.

Hey dwrekker86, all you have to do to change the drive to FAT32 format is get into the command prompt then type “format/FS:FAT32 X:” the “X” would be whatever your drive letter is when you plug it in to the computer. Then it’ll say “The type of file system is NTFS. The new file system is FAT32. Enter correct volume label for drive “X:” To find the correct volume label get to “disk management” in your computer and you should see your plugged in external drive in the very top part of the list (NOT TO BE CONFUSED with your internal drive marked “C”).
10. Now the backup process will start. This can take anywhere from 2 hours to 12 hours (in my case w/420GB of data on my PS3′s 500GB harddrive, it would take about 12 hours for a full backup). –After the backup completes, power down your PS3 and let it cool for an hour. Remove your old harddrive, put the new one in. (see my blog post / vid on how to for a ps3 phat here )
A/ In that case make sure that you turn off the PS3™ system into standby mode. The red LED in front of the PS3™ will confirm standby mode. Then switch the main PS3™ power off at the back of the unit using the on/off switch. Leave the power off for a few seconds then switch back on again and repeat the pairing process once more.
"The peripheral's enhancement to aural output is undeniable. After testing the unit for a few weeks, returning to 2.1-channel sound is nearly unthinkable. Unambiguously geared for gaming, the Pro+ allows the meticulously crafted sound mix to be appreciated- articulating every explosion, punch, and ambient effect with satisfying accuracy."
